After driving my MKIV some I came to the conclusion it needs a dead pedal. After some some searching I found a design I liked and made it my own. Very simple, it's just aluminum angle cut to fit the tubes around the DS footbox. Some black paint, traction tape, and four rivets. Viola! My new dead pedal. Does not interfere with my foot and is very comfortable.

Jorge, that is a nice dead pedal. I like the fact that you can add it after all is done. I will save this thread in case I need it.

Cheers.

Looks really nice! I hope you don't miss the extra room to stretch out your left leg on long trips.

That looks like it would work great and goes along with the KISS concept. Great idea

That is one of the best mods you will make to your car. I actually taped a marker to the bottom of my shoe to determine the angle that was the most comfortable for me. Find the comfort zone, tap the foot against the footbox, marks are made and angle is set.

I hope you don't mind if I copy your design. If you do, I won't tell you.

You find that to be wide enough?

Yea, I get enough of my foot on it for it to feel comfortable. I suppose you could rivet a wider plate to it and make it wider.
