I saw a post by a friend building a 33 and he planned on using a 105 Amp alternator which made me start thinking about what I would need on mine
We are both building a COP 6.1 based Hemi 33 with the electric PS set-up. What is the maximum AMP draw on the power steering?

Thanks
Dale

Hi Dale,

The Electric Assist Power Steering Motor has a 30 Amp slow blow fuse installed in its main power cable, which would be the maximum amperage that it could draw. In most cases, with a modern fuel injected engine, and most other normal electrical loads in one of our kits, a 70 Amp alternator would be a minimum for this configuration. So the 105 Amp alternator would be more than adequate.

Thank You
