Windshield wiper wiring

Having trouble wiring the wiper motor. Followed the schematic in the FFR guide. As shown the motor run will not park. reversed the wiring thinking the image was backwards. This blew the fuse.

Does the wiper switch you are using have the park function?

Double check your switch connections and if you are using a plug connector at the motor, double check that you don't have the wires reversed in the connector.

You'll notice that the "inner" pins on the switch are offset a bit. That should help you orient the switch for the proper connections.

I had the same problem and had to rebuild the motor switch to make it work.

I've had to take my wiper motor apart, to fix the parking issue, twice now.
In between taking time to fix it, I got good at manually switching off the wipers when they were down! :)

just did mine tonight

just like the diagram except I had to extend my purple wire (as red) and both that and the white are under the yellow
