Hi folks. Prepping for delivery in July and thinking about the first things I’ll need.

I’d like to suspend my body buck from the ceiling. Anyone within a short trip of Atlanta getting rid of theirs soon? I imagine even if yours isn’t build to suspend overhead, it wouldn’t be hard to modify.

Also - looking for powder coaters in the Atlanta area. I’ll be doing blacked out for a lot of parts.

Thanks!

My body has been suspended from my ceiling without a buck. I have four hooks in my ceiling and I ran straps from each hook down to the wheel wells, this is how the body is supported. Unfortunately it's been that way for over a year but will soon be dropped down for fitting.

Mine was suspended like that for quite a few years.

I built a fancy buck and used it to suspend my body from the ceiling. I wouldn't do it again, I would just use 4 straps and suspend it by the wheel wells.

Well this is music to my ears. I was worried about it warping and not being fully supported. But you guys are saying you've not had any issues like that? Any pictures you can share of your setup? Thanks!

Mine is on a buck at the ceiling, and I have liked having the shelf underneath the body which I wouldn't have if it were just hanging on hooks. I have my doors, hood, trrunk, windshield box up there. A lot of the aluminum was up there until I installed it. just a thought. BTW I am in atlanta and will be fitting the body onto my chassis soon. I might keep the shelf structure and remove the plywood body-shaped ends which you can have if you want them. For powder coat on the panels, and for ceramic coating on my headers, I went to American Supercars Unlimited in Waleska (near Canton). It's a drive (even from the northern suburbs), but they did a good job, quickly, and for a fair price.DM me if want their ph number.

Hey Alec - it's Russell here - I've seen your setup in person! I'll probably try the hooks approach as I have enough other storage areas. But thank you for the referral to American Supercars Unlimited. I'll look them up and give them a call.
