Started mounting the wind shield. Use the 27” measurement from the top screw to the top rear door opening. Can anyone confirm the 27” is the correct dimension.
Once the legs were installed thought the slots in the body ( pre cut by FFR) the drivers side lined up well with the holes in the fram. The passenger side the legs of the window only covered 1/2 of the holes in the frame.
In order to cover the holes I would have to move the passenger side of the window 1/2 forward by cutting the slot in the body.
If I do this I think I would then have to twist the windo frame in order to maintain the same 27” on both sides.
Not anxious to twist the window
Anyone else had this issue
Suggestions please

First thing you need to do is draw a line right down the center of both windshield arms on the inside. Now install the windshield all the way down and look to see if you can see the line through all 4 holes. If you cannot, you need to open the slot. Most seem to need to be moved forward. Once you can see the line in all 4 holes, mark the locations with a marker. Take it out and drill the holes. I highly recommend you drill and tap them 1/2-13. Makes install much easier. If you follow this plan the 27 will be pretty close. It only matters if you are installing a top though.

Yes, 27" + or - is correct.

The FFR body cutouts are just a starting point and ordinarily need to be opened up. Also the notch in the firewall extension on the passenger side needs to be cut about 1/2-3/4" farther down. Finally, never squeeze the windshield posts (legs") in to the meet the chassis---shim as necessary to take up the space between the posts and chassis so that the glass remains relaxed. Glass doesn't bend ;)
