Soft top sidebar clips screw

Does anyone know what size screw the windscreen side bar is tapped for those clips that hold the soft top header bows? I tried a 4-40 and its too small, but 6-32 too big. I guessing some metric size?

If they are like the holes for the visors in the windshield frame they were tapped into the brass side posts prior to chroming and will need to have it cleaned out by running a tap through.
