I have a Kevko oil pan on the 351. The dipstick that came with the oil pan mounts on the passenger side and will need to be bent and fit around the headers if I use it. BUT unless I make it into a funky "S"shape and run it forward of the headers it will have to come up right in the middle of them. I am not sure the thing is long enough to run forward and I really don't like the idea of running in between header tubes. Another option is to pop the plug in the timing cover and put an oil dipstick there. So what has everyone else been doing with this?

Second thing I am using a Granatelli clutch cable. It has a bracket on it that is non-moveable and is in such a place there is just nothing to secure it to. There is no bracket on the FFR supplied cable so I am thinking of just cutting this one off unless a place to mount it.182947

I ran my dipstick between the header tubes. The dipstick gets HOT! Lost my fingerprints for a couple of days finding that out.

Mine came up between the headers too. No problems at all other than the same as John.

I removed the metal clutch cable bracket and I left my clutch cable loose and routed it around the front of the header and looped back towards the transmission near the motor mount oil filter location. Have had no issues with this routing. One word of advice is the ford racing cable functions much nicer than any other out there. I the retention tab on the cable that goes against the foot box that factory five recommends to rivet, I opened up slightly and tapped the foot box front metal panel and use a cap head screw with a washer. The rivet loosens up quickly and makes it more difficult to change the cable if / when you have to.
