AutoMeter Electric Speedo

Has anyone used one of these with a Summit Brand GPS receiver? Speedo says it will accept any input from 500 to 400,000 pulses. The GPS receiver will output either 4000,8000, or 16000. Im assuming i can use any of these and calibrate the speedo to read any one of these. Seems logical to me that this will work.

I am redoing my dash and already had the Autometer Gauges so I wanted them to match is the reason I don't have Speedhut. Back in the OG days of building Speedhut wasn't even around.

Anyone been down this road?
