12 years since painted by Ken Pike and lots of dings and scratches; so after adding a few more during my E Pwr Steering addition, decided to spend 2 days touching up everything. After a Cut and Buff I can put off a repaint for many more years. Thanks Ken for a durable quality paint job!

What Red is that, I am headed to red, but not yet sure of the shade and would prefer not to have a pearl.

It's called Carmine RED; Dupont Code 43019, NO metallic or flakes. Used on many English cars, I saw it on a brand new 1975 Triumph TR6 in 1975 and loved it back then. As best as I could tell researching this, there were a few original Cobras painted this color with the COB and COX designation. If you watch PBS British crime dramas like Father Brown or Midsummers Murder you will see a variety of older English brands in Carmine Red.
BMW Imola RED is a little deeper Red, but not much, and has less "brown" tint in the paint. I almost like it better!
Stripes are Ford Wimbledon White as are the wheels. But the wheels have a clearcoat containing silver flake.

Beautiful Car. What is the strut across the roll bars - for a sun shade?

Thank You!
Yes, there is a 1/2" square tube in front mounted to the windshield groove and one mounted the to Roll Bars with a Driving Light clamps for a Sun Shade or Bimini Top. I used to sell them as a FFR Vendor (Dave's Workshop) but couldn't make any money, too expensive to manufacture for what the market would pay. 18 of them sold.

I dont know anyone who has been disappointed in the body/paint work at Kens. I guess as of late with his shop expansion and such the wait times have been bordering on ridiculous...6 - 8 months. It was 10 - 12 weeks when I did mine! Can't wait to see you build, so many top shelve parts and the color combo is a Classic! The light blue frame is very cool!
