Hi - I am trying to finalize my plans/order for a MK4 complete kit. My son and I did the build school a few weeks back (awesome experience!) but I have never done this before.... I (we) are planning on ordering the complete kit and using a Blueprint 306 with the Holley Sniper EFI and power steering pump. I have plans to drive this around town, short trips, etc... No plans for racing, etc....

34158 - hydraulic clutch master cylinder kit (your thoughts on this vs manual clutch?)
16757 - 302 stainless steel 4 port headers
14932 - polished stainless exhaust (thoughts on this setup vs Gas-N headers/exhaust?)
17120 - Mustang based IRS
15945 - do I need the Mustang IRS driveshaft adapter?
17150 - Front/Rear IRS shocks
16668 - Mustang IRS 3.55 center section
16038 - 31 spline driveshaft for 302 (can I run the 28 spline with the BluePrint Tremec TKX trans?)
16799 - power steering kit
16004 - vintage FF GPS gauges
16613 - powder coated chassis
16765 - 11.65 " Mustang rear brakes
16697 - Halibrand 15 inch wheels w Goodyears
16986 - vinyl dash
16116 - do I need a front swaybar?
17063 - do I need a heater (I live in south Louisiana); if so - would you do an aftermarket heater (aren't smaller/space saver options available as space is limited behind the dash?)
15998 - do I need the rear IRS swaybar?
plus a few other options - wind wings, etc....

- do I need the EFI in tank system from FFR?

I plan on having a pro do the paint/body work.

Your time, thoughts, ideas etc are much appreciated!

34158 - hydraulic clutch master cylinder kit (your thoughts on this vs manual clutch?)
Cable clutch works well and lasts a long time so long as you use an OEM Ford cable rather than the one supplied with the complete kit. Couple that with a firewall adjuster and adjustments and be made from under the hood rather than from under the car. That said though I believe that Blueprint's package default with the TKX is hydraulic throwout bearing.
16757 - 302 stainless steel 4 port headers
14932 - polished stainless exhaust (thoughts on this setup vs Gas-N headers/exhaust?)
GasN are beautifully crafted and quieter however from my experience with several sets can be a little more tedious to get fitted, often requiring wedges.
17120 - Mustang based IRS
15945 - do I need the Mustang IRS driveshaft adapter?
Yes
17150 - Front/Rear IRS shocks
16668 - Mustang IRS 3.55 center section
16038 - 31 spline driveshaft for 302 (can I run the 28 spline with the BluePrint Tremec TKX trans?)

16116 - do I need a front swaybar?
For street only use not really however if you add a front bar also add a rear
17063 - do I need a heater (I live in south Louisiana); if so - would you do an aftermarket heater (aren't smaller/space saver options available as space is limited behind the dash?)
Consider seat heaters instead
15998 - do I need the rear IRS swaybar?
plus a few other options - wind wings, etc....

- do I need the EFI in tank system from FFR?

Congrats and have fun!

34158 - hydraulic clutch master cylinder kit (your thoughts on this vs manual clutch?)
I've had several cars with both and prefer the feel of the hydraulic clutch. I have a Tilton hydraulic throwout bearing on my MKIV
16757 - 302 stainless steel 4 port headers
14932 - polished stainless exhaust (thoughts on this setup vs Gas-N headers/exhaust?)
I have the latest stainless exhaust from FFR and was impressed with the quality. Bolted right on and look beautiful. With the ball joint I did have any issues with alignment.
17120 - Mustang based IRS

16668 - Mustang IRS 3.55 center section

You don't see 15" wheels very often these days. I'm as old school as it gets but I've grown not to like the 15's and the associated extra tall sidewall tires like I used to.
16986 - vinyl dash
16116 - do I need a front swaybar?
No
17063 - do I need a heater (I live in south Louisiana); if so - would you do an aftermarket heater (aren't smaller/space saver options available as space is limited behind the dash?)
I'm in Texas and was originally going to install a heater. After much debate and a thread I posted I decided against it. Seat heaters and an electric blanket for me.
15998 - do I need the rear IRS swaybar?
No
plus a few other options - wind wings, etc....

- do I need the EFI in tank system from FFR?
Call Mike Forte, the FFR system is way too expensive.

I plan on having a pro do the paint/body work.

Your time, thoughts, ideas etc are much appreciated!

Welcome to the fun! There's a lot of experience and good people here on the forum that are always willing to help.

Willie, welcome! My 2 cents on a few of your questions...
-Blueprint306 w/TKX should come with a hydraulic TO bearing (my 347 kit did) so you would need to select the hydraulic clutch option from FF.
-31 spline driveshaft is correct.
-Don't need a front or rear swaybar if you're just driving around town, etc.
Good luck!

I'd recommend the GasN side pipes AND headers. They just bolt together really nicely and are adjustable. FFR will give you about $600 credit if you delete these. Like Jeff said, you may need wedges to gap them properly.

In hindsight, I wish I would have gone without the heater as I don't think it'll be that helpful. Seat heater are a MUST!!! Also, a 12v port with a heated blanket for the Mrs.

Vinyl dash? I'd spend $50 bucks on a half hide of leather and make both your dash and trans tunnel cover leather.

Have fun!!
