So how much are you folks cutting off the Wilwood master cylinder brake threads? The manual recommends 5/8" though I understand from others threads that is too much. How much is enough?

Why not mock it up and decide? It just takes a few minutes. $100 master cylinders. No reason to cut them without checking first IMO. BTW, that's my approach for most all the "cut" dimensions in the manual. There's just enough variation that it makes sense to measure twice, e.g. mock up, then cut.

i cut 5/8", i think i forgot to at first and they stuck to far into the clevis.

Bryan, after measuring, mine did end up being 5/8".

Thanks! I had them mocked up already without cutting anything off. Seemed to work well and I guess I was double checking with others before cutting into a $100 part! I appreciate the advice.
