Build is going along great!
The kit indicates that the battery is mounted in the rear, I have also seen some in the front.
Those with 289s .. what location did you use ... and are you happy with it?
To me it looks like the rear mounted battery might be a PITA to work on .. but that is just a guess.
Thanks,
Have a great Easter!

Mine is in the trunk, haven't had to do anything to it since it was installed. I might consider moving it to the front someday.

I plan to mount my battery in the front of my 289, easier access, shorter cables and frees up some space in the trunk.

I installed the Breeze front battery mount. Excellent quality, convenient, and easy to install.

Mounted mine in front. Running a Coyote and space is tight. Breeze product is excellent as John289 mentioned. Should be able to access cables and remove battery for maintenance but will involve removing intake tubes & air filter.

I seriously thought about mounting up front, but I am going for a really clean look in my engine bay and I thought that just clustered things up a bit. Depending on your motor choice, could be a challenge getting to it (Coyote). I also wanted more space in the trunk. So, like several have in the past, I made extra room in my trunk with the Russ Thompson drop box. Because I have IRS, I went ahead and manipulated the drop box and added extra room right behind the center section. This gave me enough room for the battery and a small tool box area.
I will add a wall separating the battery and the tool area as well as a custom cover for this area. Very simple to get to the battery and it's tucked out of the way. I even have a light in there.
