This may sound like a silly question as I know the answer ... but how much play should the be in a front wheel bearing?
I ask because no matter how much I push and tap the spindles do not seem to quite make it.
I have not tightened the nut more than a bit yet.
Will that draw them in?
Have not run into this with rebuilds before, just a couple of taps and it seats.
Any advice would be appreciated before I use a bit more coaxing.
Thanks

Sealed bearings have no play when seated.

The torque spec for the nut is ?200#? or so right?

Sometimes the spindle needs a little cleaning up with emery cloth to remove some high spots

Yep, check for burrs on the spindle. Mine seated all the way with zero interference.

Thanks guys,

I gave it a little tap, then just torqued the nut and it popped snug into place.
I have restored cars but this is my first ground zero build ... guess I am a little soft stepping .. more than I should.
I appreciate the patience!
