I have the Aston Lemond filler and cap- apparently I have misplaced the inner plastic screw on cover. Any ideas?

Here's a Motocraft version that actually locks into place. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000C5FL84/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The cap F5 provided with my kit didn't lock; it just lifted out no matter the position.

So I'm guessing no inner cap since it doesn't work anyway? Just trying to be safe

Better to buy a cap that works like the one John recommended above. I had to replace my FFR cap also because it wasn't sealing properly.

The Ford part works great. I had the same issue with the one FFR sent that was described above. Another tip, put a dab of Loctite (blue) on the threads of the screw that secures the plate to the cap. That screw will work loose and you'll get a bad surprise at the gas station when you pop the cap open and the spring and plate go flying out.
