I am considering converting from pump driven power steering to electric. Can I still use the existing power steering rack. I would cap the fittings on the rack.
Thanks
Doug

Original donor builds often used de-powered donor PS racks and were universally panned as a really bad choice. Maybe the electric boost would overcome the deficiencies. But I doubt anyone will recommend that. I wouldn't do it.

You already have a complete pump driven setup installed and working? Why do you want to change?

I have to agree. A de-powered rack is a bad idea, eventually it will give you problems. I would keep what you have, or use an electric powered pump.
