View Full Version : Anyone using "HOT ROD FUEL HOSE" PTFE with an EFI setup?

Trying to wrap my head around the best way to route the "HOT ROD FUEL HOSE" so I can order the correct fittings. My stumbling point is the transition from running along the frame to the front and bringing it up along-side of the PS footbox. Do I run a PTFE line from the fuel filter directly to the EFI fitting or do I install a 120* swivel fitting at the end of the footbox/frame to bring the hose to the back of the engine/EFI connection? I'm thinking that trying to bend the hose back is going to be a challenge and require multiple mounting clamps to manage it(?)

I'd appreciate any pictures / first-hand experience with their setup.

Thanks!

I ran PTFE from the tank to the pressure regulator. The only swivel fitting was into the PR. I don't have EFI, but the same general idea.

My personal philosophy is to use flexible hose where some "give" is needed, and hard line everywhere else. So to me that means flexible hose between the fuel tank and the frame mounted, vibrating fuel pump and pre-filter and then hard line up to the engine compartment then flexible hose again for the run between the firewall and engine (where some "give" is obviously needed).

Run PTFE everywhere, connections/fittings where ever you need them. You’re going to run out of fuel pump or injectors before your line/restrictions become an issue.
