TKX Mid-Shift Kit

I wanted to see if anyone has used the Race Tuning mid shift kit vs the Silver Sport kit and what thier experience has been. The Race Tuning one is quite a bit cheaper, but still more than a TKO kit.

Personally, I don't see the benefit that justifies a $400 add on. I used the stock shifter kit moved to the middle location (flipped) and put on a shorter shifter. Works great!

The Silver Sport unit is very nice and the shift position and feel are exactly what I wanted. I posted a video about it.

I installed the Silver Sport STX shifter and like it. At the time Race Tuning and Speedway were the only other options (their kits looked identical). I had ordered the Speedway kit, but they did not have any install instructions and when I contacted them, they had no idea how to install it. I reached out to Race Tuning and they did not have any instructions either. Since my install, Mike Forte has come out with a midshift kit and there was recently a good write up with install instructions - https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?44860-TKX-MidShift-Kit-Installed-(Fortes-Parts). Forte's kit looks very similar, if not the same, as Race Tuning. I am happy with the STX kit and would use it again, however, I would also give strong consideration to Forte's kit. Both STX and Forte will provide excellent support - I have used them both.

Cool, I will check with Mke to see what he has. I have got several things from him and have been really happy with the parts.

I installed Mike Forte`s mid shift kit on my TKX his instructions are clear and easy to follow. the shift handle ends up in a nice comfortable position in my gen 3 Coupe. haven't driven it yet still building.
