I had a couple of replies and suggestions to my initial question, but it didn't really answer my post, so I am trying again.
Has anyone fitted FFR catalytic converters to a Coyote gen 2 engine. If you have, please let me know which shorty headers you purchased and if you had to make any modifications to get it to fit.
Thanks

Back when I ordered my kit, FFR was not offering headers with cats for the coyote, so when I ordered my gen2 coyote from Mike Forte I also ordered a set of headers with cats. The headers that Mike supplied were from GP Headers. They're very nicely built headers. Unfortunately, I had some fitment issues with them as outlined here (https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?44958-Side-pipe-fit-issues) and here (https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?31167-Greek-Guys-Garage-Roadster-Build-9509-(rear-wheel-well-splash-guards-and-liners)&p=518232&viewfull=1#post518232) and had to replace them with headers from Gas-N that don't have cats. In my case, installing cats was purely personal preference as they're not required in CA. It's hard to say whether the fitment issues were a result of drivetrain placement, body position, or inherent to the design of the headers but unfortunately in my case the problem was not discovered until the painted body was on the car. For this reason I opted to replace the headers. It's very likely that these headers could work just fine if you're aware that it's a tight fit and address it during initial body fitment and driveline angle adjustment, but if you do opt to go with headers with cats I would pay close attention to fitment and make sure you have it dialed in before final bodywork and paint.

I am probably misunderstanding the question, but why not use the FFR header with integrated catalytic converter (FFR Part #16790 - Headers: 5.0L Coyote stainless steel 4-port full length with catalytic converters)? This is what I used (with the GasN pipes) and everything fit great.

Thanks Lidodrip! This would be a perfect solution, but I guess FFR do not make these anymore. The part number does not come up on their page. Do you have a picture. Does anyone in the FFF have any they want to sell?

If you haven't done already, I would give FFR a call. They still have them listed as on option on their MK4 Complete Kit build page under the Exhaust section - $1375. These are what they look like:

Hi Lidodrip! Just wanted to thank you again. This was really good advice. I was eventually able to order this part through FFR and its travelling to me now $1475. I am sure they will fit ok based on discussions with them and your experience with similar engine setup.

You are welcome, glad to help. I think you will be happy with them, they were better than expected in both quality and fit and work great with the GasN pipes.
