I couldn't find specifics on this... wondering how difficult sway bar installation is on the current MkIV chassis after the car is fully assembled. I read that it's a pain, but I believe that was for earlier versions of the chassis. I like to use sway bars as tuning tools, so would rather just wait to see how the car handles before I spend money and time on them. Otherwise I'd just install the mounts early in the build.

Thanks.

The front sway bar should be pretty easy to retrofit. What rear end? If IRS, retrofitting would be a pretty big job. If you're installing an IRS, my suggestion would be to order a set of the rear sway bar mounts and install those at the time you install the IRS. The rest of the install would be pretty easy if those brackets are installed.

Thanks John, yes IRS -- I should have mentioned that. Ok, I'll ask about getting mounts only... I didn't see them on the parts site, but I'm sure they can sell them separately. Thanks.

Easy. Even with IRS. The only thing that would be a pain about IRS is having to unbolt the toe arms and the front LCA bushings to insert the new mount. Not really a big deal and can easily be done in an afternoon

Awesome, thank you.

The front is fairly simple. I got a sway bar from a mazda miata and it fit perfect. Fabricated some angle iron brackets for the end of the frame and picked up adjustable end links from Fortes Parts connection. Mike sells the whole kit that has everything. I have IRS in the rear too and I'm going to hold off on installing a sway bar on it. I'm just going to take it one step at a time. I might be able to compensate by adjusting the spring rate to dial it in without a sway bar. We'll see.

The miata sway bar bolts directly to the front of the frame now using stock miata sway bar brackets that come with the bar. Do you have an older frame, or what did you need the brackets for?
