Mark 3 aluminum finish

Sorry, attempted to search however wasn’t having much luck. Can you remove the aluminum panel from the inside trunk and if not, I assume you just sand the fibreglass outer edge that holds it to clean it up.

Can anyone share a pic to show how they’ve finished the underside of the trunk for some ideas.
