I am putting my tranny on the motor. It is a tremec 500 using the quick time bell housing to a 351. I have a couple/three questions.

1. The bell housing came with two rings, one fit the tranny snug and the other a bit loose. I went with the snug fitting one and assumed the other was for a larger tranny. Correct?

2. The tranny went in fine, then stopped with a small space the tranny and the bell housing. I jiggled and pushed a few times, but it never went completely on. Am I missing a spacer or should I keep wiggling and pushing. Mike Forte set up the clutch and PP, so I assume it was lined up correctly.

3. In the picture of the mounting hardware there are some brackets and two stainless allen screws. Are these for various shifter attachements? The holes seem to fit the shifter holes.

you will need to dial indicate the bellhousing, there are a few threads out there on that
also there is a tool i used that works great for tranny shaft alingment, on ffcars i had a thread about it, it was borrowed from a member.

Thanks for the reply....one touch of the clutch fork and it fell right into place.
