Weird question for Coyote experts.

I am using a 2017 Mustang GT engine with Ford Power. Everything seems to run reasonably well. Stock Mustang GT engine comes with IMRC vacuum parts that are controlled by a Mustang ECM. A bunch of vacuum crap in the back of the intake manifold that opens up additional air doors at higher RPM.

Power pack doesn't seem to activate them, and the air doors stay in the closed position (I presume). Do Ford crate motors come with the same IMRC parts, or are they deleted from a get go?

I was going to do a Mustang IMRC Delete Kit, but am confused if that will have a negative effect on Power Pack tune? Can I just delete the IMRC and run stock Power Pack tune, or will I need to do a custom tune to accommodate all the changes.

I was considering doing a custom tune anyways, just to fine tune things. But I was going to wait for later time.

Any of my ramble here makes sense? :)

Is the vacuum line (in yellow) attached in the front to a vacuum port on the engine? Do you have the two vacuum controls (Round valves at the rear - partially in yellow)? Those are the IMRC, or as Ford calls them "Charge Motion Control Valves" (CMCV)

If they're acting up, you'll get a code of something between P2004 - P2023.

Hot Rod and Truck Coyote builds require that the CMCV rails be locked in position and the motors removed - not enough space in the motor compartment. I have heard that the Gen 1 and Gen 2 engines will operate with the stock tune, while the Gen 3 will not. In either case a custom tune is highly recommended. Many have used Lund.

I have a Gen 2 Coyote in a MK4, with the CMCV system installed and working.

I'm adding a cobra jet intake manifold to a coyote and they don't exist on the new intake. Need to be deleted in with a tune though.

FYI... The CMCV system will give you better fuel economy (gas millage) at moderate driving conditions, and will not hamper full throttle acceleration/power.

I don't think mine are operational, but I need to double check again. If they are stuck in "closed" position then at wide open they don't allow full air intake. I think.

I have read the same description of their effect on operation as well as better low end torque. I also have a 2017 Mustang GT take out engine, but have not run the engine as yet.
