View Full Version : Exhaust cutout

Attached is a photo of the right side exhaust cutout. I did not cut any material from the front side of the cutout. Came from FF that way. Had to cut material from the top and rear of the cutout to get exhaust to fit. Should I attempt to glass in part of the front, or does it make a big difference in the look after paint? Looks like about an inch of additional material to be added.181181

That is a larger gap than I would prefer. How does it compare to the other side? How experienced are you working w/ fiberglass?
Another option is to make a pair of bezels out of aluminum to ring the openings and close the gaps. Polish them to add some bling, or powder coat them to match the body.

is this the new "ball and flange" header? I am guessing the driver side is too far forward?

I had the same general issue - I ended up moving the transmission to the right (IRS Car) and it helped a lot -
