65 Coupe distinguished by the "5" steering wheel and 1000? hp.

https://youtu.be/QRtUzdw-WhE

Cables are by design, to be used on a throttle shaft sector wheel with minimal slack.
Found today on Road & Track daily news.

1000hp car they barely knew, loose throttle cable, cold road and tires = what could go wrong?

Something tells me these clowns would get themselves killed in my mom's corolla. This has nothing to do with 1000HP, wet roads, etc. This is just being dumb.

In my humble opinion, the only good thing here was that the driver was relatively unhurt. As others have indicated, you have to wonder about the level of common sense in this group... I can't offer any decent comments here. The whole thing was just....wrong.

313,000 views, 1.4 million subscribers. I'd say they know exactly what they are doing. It is the nature of our culture, now.

Just be thankful they are in the entertainment industry, and not the aviation industry.

There's an old saying They F-ed Around and Found Out.

Glad they didn't kill anyone with this YouTube adventure.

Lucky he really didn't get seriously hurt. Gives some credit to the FFR chasis and his using the 5 point belt. I have built/sold multiple FFR cars and every time it seems the buyers have no experience driving a vehicle of this capability. Sadly, at least 5 of the cars have been crashed (none seriously) after they were sold. My coupe was actually crashed by the transport driver when he unloaded the car in a parking lot and decided to get his jolly's, spun the car and hit a light post. Another idiot!
