Windshield Wiper Switch Operation

I am testing the operation of my windshield wiper switch. The wiper switch is a 3 position switch. Can you explain how this switch operates and which switch terminals are activated for each switch position?

The wiper switch is slow, fast, then off with a rest position (Park). The instructions are pretty good for the wiring and if followed should work fine.
on the switch:
#2 is yellow park function
#8 is brown High speed
#6 is green low speed
#4 is white and purple 12 v
