That would be nice but not smart as it would almost certainly violate the copyright laws unless you had written permission.

I guess something like that has never stopped me.

That's unfortunate. Please don't scan and post it here.

Where are you buying Kit Car? I've been all over Indianapolis, e.g. CVS, Barnes & Noble, Wal-Mart, etc., all to no avail. Would someone mail me a subscription card? Thanks.

The fact that a magazine hot off the presses is such old news to us goes to show how well informed Jim and the gang has kept the forum. No guys, more griping to Dave about keeping us in the dark or demands for more info, pictures or decisions!

I can afford to be a little more patient because I won't be in the position to build one of the first 818s. I will, however, start to set aside some cash so that I can purchase a kit in a couple of years, when hopefully, we'll have different options to choose from.

I am not following your logic.

I think what he's saying is Dave gives us information as soon as he knows it in a way that magazines can't. Magazines are a thing of the past when it comes to breaking news, with the internet breaking stories as they happen as opposed to in the next month's issue. It's one reason I just don't see the worth in magazines anymore unless they're giving me a long editorial review, which most aren't. They seem to be sticking to the old method, but they aren't as current as information on the 'net is. Puts them behind.

At least that's where I think he was going with it.

Well, close. I wasn't trying to make a statement about the obsolescence of printed media, but that could be interpreted. I was just making the point that we, the forum members, should be grateful for the very inside, very up to the minute look that we get to have on this company's design process.

Fair enough. I guess I took your comment and kinda applied to all of automotive news and media, at least the way I've seen it.

You have got to be kidding >> "very up to the minute"?
The discussion on the utilization of the 1/4 scales went for a couple of months before we were told they weren't going to be developed and photographed. The discussion on chassis updates went through a similar process with people thrashing though all kinds of speculation before being given some (minimal) news.
I am not saying we are OWED any more, just don't hand me this "be grateful" bit.

And yet we are still more up to date than what was just reported in a print mag dedicated to the kit car industry.

Do I think FFR could do a better job of keeping us up to date? Yes, but if I had to choose between them doing a better job creating the 818, or a better job keeping us up to date on its progress, I know which I'd select.
