Lock washers on MK4 exhaust

Is anyone using regular lock washers on the header to ball adjuster and ball adjuster to side pipes? The deformed nut locknuts are hard to work with.

Disclaimer, Have not built one yet but If I was using lock washers on exhaust, I would use Nord-lock type.

Heat from the exhaust will damage the lock washers and they will be ineffective. Get a set of brass nuts, use two on each bolt.
