Welcome to the forum. I'm not certain, but I seem to remember, a few years ago and on the other forum, a thread about someone selling a coupe (perhaps in California) with a centrifugal supercharger. I never saw a picture of it, nor do I remember what brand the supercharger was. A search on that forum should bring up the thread, if that's where I saw it. Hopefully someone with a better memory than mine, or actual knowledge, will chime in on the question.

There should be no problem fitting a supercharger. I have a powerdyne in my roadster and there is more access in my coupe for one.

You can get a LOT of power out of a 5.0 for relativly little money. Especially if you're going to use power adders. Register at some of the Mustang boards for good tech info. Lots of good tech info here, too. Some of the best Ford Windsor people are right here.

As you build the car, keep in mind the additional power and performance you're shooting for. Stock Mustang brakes won't work all that well with big power, but are fine for a stock'ish motor. It's a lot cheaper to pony up for the Wilwood brakes during the initial build, rather than buying the stock brakes now and the Wilwoods next year. Same with things like a radiater, transmission, or differential.

if you are going to go forced induction, might not be a bad idea too keep the compression ratio around 8.5 for the boost later.(more power and less detonation)or you could use different pistons later.(sucks to have to pull the engine though) if your planning over 8lbs. of boost it will really help. good luck on the project. i'm building a gtm now but still love my sb fords!
