The item seems to be out of stock everywhere, and according to a few stores, the backorder has been dragging out since September. Does anyone have one they are willing to sell? This is the 010ERL model for 5/8 OD tubing

Other ideas for rolling a bead onto the heater/defroster copper tubes are also welcome. Hopefully, ones that don't involve a $250 tool (https://www.grahamtool.com/tube-beading-tools/medium-tube-beading-tool-38-12-58-od-tube) that I will never use again, and I'm not sure I'd have enough clearance to use it anyway.

That one is too small unfortunately. I need the 010ERL for the tubes on the heater

I considered that too. Their dimensions are based on ID, and the minimum is 5/8, so too big. The heater is 5/8 OD and 1/2 ID

They have several Sizes, have never used that kind but it seems cheap enough to try.

Get two 5/8 copper olives, slip them onto the ends of the tubes and silver solder them in place. Worked perfect as barb's, to prevent the hoses from slipping off under pressure. Can send a photo if you need it.

Cost less than $1.00 and still performing as intended 5 years later.

Feel free to reach out if you need any more information.

cheers, Nige

DM your shipping details and I'll send you mine. Just return it when you're done.

I made my own using a pair of vice grips and a rounded shaft key welded on one jaw and the curved side of an exhaust hanger welded to the other jaw. It takes time and isn’t quite as pretty as the high end bead rollers but the bead works and you can’t see it anyway. For less than $10 it’s good enough for me.

I’ve seen JB Weld do wonders!
