In reading the FFR Manual (REV 4Q) on pages 422-424 details how the doors hinges are to be mounted. The question I have relates to the supplied 5/16 shoulder bolt. The inside dimension hinge bushing are approximately 3/8. There is movement between the hinge mount and the door hinge (not on car). Is this normal and do I still have to grind the ends on the bolts? Thanks

I think I'm following your question... The hinges use 3/8" ID flanged sleeve bearings. The shoulder bolt is 3/8" OD and is a relatively tight fit. In fact, the instructions show putting a chamfer on the end to make it easier to install. Which I did and it does help. The nut on the end is 5/16. I didn't have to cut anything. If you're trying to assemble with something other than what I described, they're either for something else or you received wrong parts. Hopefully that's what you're asking about.

That’s the problem. The shoulder bolts rec’d are 5/16OD not 3/8.

Just ordered the correct shoulder bolts from McMaster. Thanks

If this is a newer kit you need to inform FFR of this. If you’re getting the wrong ones, likely everyone is. Now with the prepackaged bolt kits.
