Hi all,
I am getting ready to install my inertia switch and am wondering in what orientation it should be installed. Seems like it might be important, but I saw nothing in the manual (though I could have missed it).

Thanks again!
Tim

Vertical with the button on top.

I think I remember asking FFR once and they said that the orientation was not important. An inertia switch AFAIK is supposed to detect an impact in any direction.

No, orientation definitely matters. RThomas is right, it needs to be vertical with the button (the rubber cap) on top.

Yeah I take that back— you are right. If you mount it upside down it will still technically "work" but will be much more sensitive to false alarms like potholes.

Just make sure its located in a place that you can get to, and if you are racing, make sure your crew members know where its at and what it does in case of a no start situation.
