I've spoken to folks who managed to insure their cars with statefarm and other big companies but it sounds like they don't do it anymore. Midwest Classic no longer offers new plans. I called AAA and they said they can redirect me to someone but they won't insure it themselves. I've searched this forum and the most popular one seems to be Hagerty, but I've also seen quite a few complains about how expensive it is along with the huge list of requirements.
So in 2023 who else can I go to? ...aside from Hagerty?
UPDATE: Midwestern IS WRITING NEW POLICIES. I misread the website.

Midwest stopped insuring? Is that just a CA thing?

Mine is with AAA for about 5 years now. But I've been with them for all my cars and house for a couple decades.
Hagerty would not insure me when I completed my car until I had a year of driving experience with it. Surprised to hear about Midwest classic not insuring anymore. I have been using Midwest for about $400/yr 55k agreed value.
Good luck hope you can find someone. The insurance industry right now is a mess.

State Farm still insures these cars with an Agreed value policy. There are no requirements for driving experience or such and the rates were very reasonable. I insured mine for $60,000.

Call Robbin, he said they are still writing policies.

My mistake here. I misunderstood what I read on Midwestern classics website. They are indeed still writing new policies. I'll update my initial post as well.

Interesting development: apparently because I'm under 30 years old they can't offer me some of the cheaper packages. Guess I'll have to wait a few years to become a normal cobra driver.
Got an Agreed Value policy with State Farm. We had our business, trucks, and personal vehicles with them through the years.

That's crazy. I pay double that for 50k agreed value. I need to shop around.

State Farm, 35k agreed value, no mileage or use restrictions, $193 annually.

Wish I could say that my policy was that inexpensive Jeff, but unless I move to Indiana I don't think that's going to happen!

35k would not even cover the kit by itself, shouldn't agreed value be at replacement cost?

Yeah, I should probably update….it’s been 15 years!

I switched to Hagerty. American Collectors upped me to $1000 and Hagerty came in at $525 for the same agreed 50k value.
