I have had this cobra for a few years now and my interests have changed and would like to sell it. I bought this Cobra on this forum in 2019 and want to offer it back up. If you search the posts, I just copied and pasted the old ad. Asking $45k.
During my ownership, I have put less that 1000 miles on it (odometer reads 1223mi) and it has never had a single issue. I am located in the Toledo, Ohio area and would be happy to setup a pre-purchase inspection with a mechanic of your choice within a 20 mile radius.
I will also get some updated photos...
Thanks,
Craig

"The car was professionally built by Mike Everson. In fact it was his personal car for a little while. As you would expect it's a solid, reliable, safe build with no issues. All original receipts and documentation are contained in a binder and stay with the car. The build has about 1223 miles and counting on it.

Details on the car are below, please feel free to send any questions my way via PM or email at crallbur@gmail.com I have more photos and can take any specific photos requested.

Did you buy the car from a fellow in Slidell Louisiana?

I don't usually get in other people's business of buying or selling cars, but if you wanted to put a little more effort in I think you could do significantly better. Since you purchased in 2019 the price of everything is up including the kit, wheels, engine, parts, etc. Do a little searching on Bringatrailer.com and you can see what they have been going for recently. As is, it looks like a bargain and should sell quickly. I say all that with only seeing 1 pic, but it sounds like a nice build.
Good luck.

I know the car very well so I've forwarded your E-Mail Address and this thread link to several of my friends.
On a personal note, I was thrilled to check the car out because I knew Mike Everson had built it.
It is a well sorted car so I wish you luck.

Yes, I really have enjoyed the car and the quality is excellent. It is a hassle free cobra and that’s what I wanted…since I am not a mechanic…just love the open air and that lovely cobra exhaust sound!

Paint work does not seem particularly exciting....is that the stock red fiberglass or did you actually paint it red?

It is painted. I think the color was from a 70’s corvette sample…I want to say Torch Red but don’t quote me. I can get the specifics if you are interested but from your comment it doesn’t seem like this is the one for you. I guess you could put a racing stripe down the middle to give a little extra flare but I thought it looks more “classy” It gets a lot of thumbs up on the road.

Also, I am not the builder. Mike Everson built this one… I don’t think I need to say more about the quality of the job.

Thanks, and if you’d like more info I can get it to you, expect more pictures this weekend

I talked to all of my pals who I thought were possible buyers.
While they all love my car, none seemed to want one of these topless wonders.
So with that said, I'm with Indy Shu in that you'll likely get your best money on Bring-A-Trailer.
Shown below are some of their results on Factory Five MK4 Roadsters:

It is Corvette Torch red, and the paint is awesome. Lots of people asked if it was gel coat when I sold it though.
If I had $45K laying around I would buy it back. Fantastic car.

Thanks Mike, I have really enjoyed it, you did a great job. I would like to keep it but with a growing family and lack of garage space...I think its time to say goodbye. My daughter said she didn't want to take her driving test in it...can't figure out why...Anyways, someone will get a solid cobra.

Mike,

I'd love to have it for my wife because it is far better mannered than mine plus it has power brakes which is important when it comes down to the stopping department...Heck, I even painted my car RED after seeing the one that you sold to the fellow that purchased it who lived in the Dell, Slidell that is...

Who ever buys is it going to have a really nice car that is easy to drive since it isn't over powered, still plenty fast, drive very well and stops with absolutely no drama.

The Cobra is sold. Thanks to the forum and everyone’s input, it went faster than I thought…bittersweet but it went back to the East near Philadelphia. A very nice gentleman who will hopefully drive it more than I did .
