This appears to be a good place to install the water temp sensor for my dash gauge. Can someone confirm?

That's a great spot. Unless you have a sniper then the sensor that feeds that needs to go there.

Thanks. I am using a Sniper, but there appears to be another water temp sensor in the intake manifold on the other side of the distributor by the thermostat housing with the same type of 2-pin connector as the FFR sensor harness. I'm assuming the other sensor is the one BPE hooked the Sniper water temp harness to when it was dyno'd.

And, sorry, I didn't mean to put this in the Build section.

You will also need a place for a fan switch to go into the coolant flow. Correct me if I'm wrong but with a Sniper you need 3 locations - Fan Switch, Dash Gauge, and sniper or run a "Tee" to get 2 into one opening.

Yep, that is correct, you only need two sensors, with the Sniper controlling the fan. I just went through this ... and am using the two locations you have identified. I ended up with the Sniper sensor on the DS side, and the gauge sensor just behind the thermostat housing on the PS side. I was thinking they should have been reversed, but in talking with my engine builder and a very experienced mechanic, it seems it won't make much difference.

But with two identical two-pin connectors, make sure you don't get the sensors confused, because they don't have the same response curve. Ask me how I know.

Perfect. I'm getting ready to build my second cobra for my wife and she's getting a Sniper so good info on only needing the two sensor locations.
