At the recommendation of another builder, I am showing how I kept the corrugated hose from coming loose. I know some have done a mod with screws or rivets. This is what I did. I explained it in another thread but will add a few pics in case it didn’t make sense.

I took a set of channel locks around the 3rd rib and crimped it down.

Once I did, I put the rubber portion over the hose and the arrows point to where the crimped down portion of the SS Hose is. Now once the hose clamp is tightened it can’t pull loose.

Initially I did have it come loose but since I did the modification, I’ve got at least 4,500 miles and so far so good.

That is a fantastic idea!

That's a pretty creative solution. My only concern with this is that stainless steel is pretty brittle, and the process of putting all the crimps in the hose introduces the possibility pinholes or cracks and leaks, and also leaves a very non-uniform sealing surface. I admire the creativity but my personal opinion is that the screw or rivet approach is more likely to create a reliable, leak-free result.

A couple buttonhead screws at the end will do the trick as well.
