Headlight switch

Anyone else have trouble removing the knob from the headlight switch? Removed the set screw but it still won't come off. I don't want to break the switch. Looking for a trick of the trade.

They are usually bonded. Push the release button on the bottom of the switch and pull the entire shaft out.

I figured out the same recently. If you look at Ron Francis' website he has videos that show how to remove the whole shaft, and he sells shafts with different style knobs on them.
