Instrument panel brace

I am currently installing the instrument panel brace on my MK4 roadster with the Factory Five molded panel. If installed where the instructions indicate it pushed the panel up quite a bit on each side with the center being just above the forward chassis hoop. Will the panel be up to high for the body to fit properly?
