Apologies if this has been asked before. I searched the forum and couldn't find anything. Has anyone used the standalone pro digital dash in their build? I am considering going with a modern dash approach and I think I like this thing. Appreciate any thoughts.

Well.....it's almost 3x the cost of a set of SpeedHut gauges.

520 Speedworks had one similar, if not that one, in their videos of a wrecked cobra they rebuilt. they are a forum vendor, give them a call or check out the videos on youtube

I'm using the 7" dash. I love it, but the only problem is in bright sunlight it's hard to see at an angle. I'm in the process of building a new dash to move it as close as possible to line of sight. There's not room to mount it above the steering wheel.

Any chance you could post a picture? I hadn't thought about the sun light issue. Thank you!

I should get it finished next week and I'll get a photo. Are you running a Holley ECU or using it as stand alone?

I had a digital dash in my 32 roadster and it was almost impossible to see in the daytime, especially if it was sunny. I would look into this very carefully before going that route.

Danmas, I promised a Photo when I finished the dash. Just drove it in bright sunlight. It washes out some but you can still read it clearly even with polarized sunglasses. So I'm very happy with the visibility. For you purists I can pop the digital dash out and insert the tach in it's place in about 10 minutes. The layout is the Competition dash.

Mike, I suspect they've made some improvements to the display over the years. Was the dash you referenced a Holley?

That is a sweet picture, thank you. I really like how clean everything looks. Nicely done and I appreciate the commentary regarding light and polarization. Haven't decided which way to go yet, but, I really like your ride.

Just FYI, I've done several pretty cool additions with the Holley HP system. Of course all the tuning, but also input/output functions. I added fuel pressure and oil temp sensors, and set up all sensors to provide warning light and guardian mode if they fall out of range. A Staging rev limiter triggered by the clutch and shift light controlled by the ECU. So I actually don't need any gauges(except the gas gauge)The latest feature I'm adding is traction control. By adding sensors to a front wheel and the drive shaft you can build a table to pull power as the driveshaft speed exceeds the wheel speed.

You shouldn’t need a gas gauge either. Holley has custom tables that can be built for Ohm limits. Have the pro dash in my SLC, definitely putting one in my coupe as well.

Oh no doubt there have been a lot of improvements and it's been a few years since I had by Deuce roadster. My dash was a Dakoda Digital. I'm glad it worked for you, I really love the concept of those dashes.

Dan, I'm using the AiM PDM Dash in my coupe build hooked up to their power distribution module. Car is not registered yet but it all seems to be working fine so far:

I am waiting for my kit and March can’t get here soon enough. I plan using classic gauges with a twist. I am going to mount a Ram mount under the dash, have power and canbus to the Ecu. This way I can mount a digital gauge for track days or a GPS or phone holder for cruising or events. I plan on a stereo so what ever hangs there will stream music. I can pull it a minute later and it looks classic.
