Title says it all.
thanks
Bill
My engine builder said to always run conventional 10w30 or 10w40. Told me to stay away from synthetic oils in these pushrod engines. I have been using Lucas HotRod 10w40.

Dinosaur oil until at least 500 miles but really, for no more miles than you’ll put on there is no reason to ever go synthetic unless you’re going to track the car and need the additional heat tolerance.

When my 427 Windsor was built the builder recommended Mobil 1 10-30 past the normal break in. Did the same after the rebuilds, I'm hard on equipment and broke it a few times. Always seemed to work for me.
