I noticed a lot of posts in regards to not knowing when factory five is shipping your items on your POL list. Just wanted to pass a tip to help a little bit. Set up an account for your house address with Fed Ex.

https://www.fedex.com/fedextracking/

It is totally free and any time any company puts a shipment that is to your address fedex will notify you. Almost all the POL stuff comes Fed Ex. Once a month when they send a round out I knew because I would get the message stating "label created in Wareham MA". I knew that was the parts. Also I would have the tracking number before anyone could e-mail it to me (which was rarely). Gave me a little control in fairly uncontrolled supply chain situation.

Just figured I would pass along for anyone wanting to use the information and may not have been aware.

UPS and USPS (Informed Delivery) also offer similar services. If aren't aware of Informed deliver from USPS its really nice - get an email every morning around 7am with a picture of all your mail coming that day and any packages in the pipeline. Not that FFR uses either of these, but all 3 are great for package awareness.

I'll also add if you're shipping anything and have a paypal account - goto paypal.shipstation.com and you'll pay about 1/3 the price for UPS/Fedex than if you went directly to their site.

This is great advice. I just created my fedex account (and then you have to add Fedex Delivery Manager service which is also free), and within 10min learned by email that a Factory Five package is scheduled for delivery to my home tomorrow. IRS BOLTS!! Yay!

Thanks R.J.!

@ JeffP: "Package awareness" is a great phrase with several possible meanings :o
