Has anyone installed the Factory Five sound proofing package? It seems to be a peel and stick product. Is extra adhesive advised and if so what product is best?
Thanks

I have the FFR Sound and insulation package and it has a pretty strong adhesive on it. So far I haven't had any issues with it, but I am not done placing all of them or placed any carpet over it yet.

In my MK3.1, I used a sound material that had it's own very aggressive adhesive under peel off paper that was "tar" on the adhesive side with a fairly thick aluminum foil material on the top side. I followed that with a layer of insulation called Damplifier Pro - a very dense foam material that was perhaps 3/16" thick. Both products were sourced from a company called Second Skin. Carpet then went over those two layers of material. The car feels really "tight" with no "hot foot" effects whatsoever in the foot boxes. Excellent results IMO.
