So I've been building for about a year and a half, did my own brakes, fuel, engine install.
I did contract out my wiring to 520 Speedworks and Greg, the owner, worked with me on my vision and made it happen and built me a custom wired dash.
But the reason I'm posting here is that I got to the end of my build and needed some final wiring help as my help had some issues on my end. I've got a paint/body date that I have to meet so I reached out to Greg @ 520 to see what it would cost to have him travel to Memphis to wrap up the wiring.
Here's what I can tell you, I had a list of 15 items (not related to wiring) that I needed to complete to get to the go-cart mode. Greg came out and not only got all the wire/fire stuff done but we got the complete list of "other" items done too. I can tell you that Greg spending 2 1/2 days with me probably saved me weeks and weeks of work.
We went from no wires installed to firing up the motor in just one day.
Getting to the end of your build and not having a timeline issue gives you time to let it sit or wait for whatever needs to be done. But I'm telling you if you reach out to 520 Speedwords and get a quote and have him come in if you need him at the end will save you weeks of work and you'll have a much better built car with a lot of professional work done to it. He knows how to build/finish these cars and is the absolute wizard with the wiring. Like I said this may not be worthwhile to everyone, all I can tell you is that I'm go-carting now weeks early.
