View Full Version : Power Steering Pump Adapter Question
I have installed a Blueprint 347 in my Coupe 65 project. The Blueprint engine came with accessories already assembled. The power steering pump is a 1990 Ford Mustang ps pump for a small block V8. I am trying to find the correct AN6 to 5/8-18 fitting for the high pressure outlet port. March Performance who supplied the ps pump to Blueprint tells me to use an AN6 to 5/8-18 inverted flare adapter. I picked one up at Summit; however, the 5/8 inch side is too short and does not seat inside the pump. March Performance also says that all 5/8-18 inverted flares have 5/8" length of thread. Those from Summit Racing are less than 1/2 inch which is why they don't reach the flare inside the pump and cannot form a tight seal.
I'm sure there is a fitting or adapter that will work. I just need to know what it is and where I can get one. Any help will be greatly appreciated

You can also look at something like this option from eBay. This one has more threads on 5/8 side.
