I am starting to place parts orders for a Windsor based 427 build. I have seen recommendation to stay with standard exhaust height for proper fit up using FFR exhaust but I am finding that most heads with the flow specs I am looking toward are raised. Trick Flow, AFR, and Edelbrock list heads which are “slightly” raised at .125 to .130 in the flow range I am targeting. Based on your knowledge of of the points of interference would you think a slightly raised port would work with the FFR 351 FAST headers without significant modifications or the need for custom headers?

Thank you

I just started my 351 based 427 and I will tell you I had to modify one of the driver's side tubes with a ball peen hammer and I'm still thinking through solutions so I don't burn the footbox powdercoat. The tube in question is about a 1/4 of an inch from the footbox. Which means that either the FFR headers are slightly off or I have something backwards. I'll be looking at this thread to see what FFR says.
