I wanted to see what powder coaters, in the central ohio area, people have used and would recommend? I need to do my frame and body panels.

I used RPM powder coating on Trabue in Hilliard for some small parts

I checked out their site and it looks like they can handle small parts, but not something the size of the frame. I did find another place in town: Columbus Powder Coat, for anyone that comes across this. Their pricing seems fair and they will sand blast the frame before coating. Are you still in the Dublin area? I am over in Powell by 315.

Nice. What build did you take on?

A Plus Powder Coaters Inc. in Columbiana has my strongest recommendation. The owner is an accomplished builder of race/show cars, and a good guy. This was not cheap but I have zero doubts that they did it the best possible way, with the best possible products.

FYI, they have on their website that the oven is 7'W x8'H x12' L. should be large enough for a chassis.

Yeah, it measures a little over 12.5 ft, the thing is pretty long.
Are you planning on doing the body work and finishing yourself?

That looks really nice. My plan is to go with white as well.

I have a body/paint guy already lined up. It's been a bit of a wait, but hopefully well worth it.
I've found some others closer to home if you'd like recommendations.

That would be great. I am on the fence on whether I do it or not. We have paint booths at work that I can use and we have a painter that painted cars for 20+ years. However, I was in a bad mountain biking accident a year and a half ago and now have some metal implants. So I am not sure I will be up to the 400 and some odd hours that others have had estimated for a coupe.

Another vote for A+ Powder Coaters in Columbiana. I know the owner, Bob Bertelsen, as we race with many of the same groups here in Ohio. He is an absolutely sensational guy and work is top notch.

Here in C-bus, just starting on our build of the MKIV. Still trying to nail down a body/paint shop in Central Ohio. Any recommendations? Thanks!!
