View Full Version : Anyone make bumpers for coupe ? Or pictures ?

NY is a stickler for bumpers, so I was gonna forget ordering but the guys on the other forum gave me motivation to try and solve this issue. Anyone have any ideas ? Thanks!

I've got bumpers.
Rear

The bumpers were made from 2 x 3 steel. The .065 3/4 tubes needed to be replaced with 1/8 inch 1 inch tubes. If you search on my build side for bumper, you should have lots more pictures and information.

Let scan all my photos and see what I can find for you. I have many more that I don't post on the blog. I am sure I have some detailed photos of the setup.

Here are a couple of pictures that show the pieces that were upgraded from .065 3/4 inch steel to .125 1 inch steel. The pieces that were changed are marked with red lines.

Bill got confirmation that the setup that I have for my coupe will be acceptable for NY. It might be nice for Factory Five to make some small changes to the frame so people can get these easily certified for their state. It wouldn't take much to make the changes and just have mounts so people can bolt on their own bumpers. I would be more than happy to work with Factory Five on this. What does Factory Five think?
