For a stock build it's ok. But the 02s had the "glass tranny" that doesn't like too much power.

Meh, my bud has a 300+ whp 18g 02 wagon with 225k miles on it with the stock transmission in tact. It's all in the driver. Besides, for 2500 bucks on the entire donor, you can afford to buy a newer 5mt from someone doing a 6 speed swap or even upgrade the gears
