Anyone have any tips on the power-steering rack installation? seems to be a tight fit, thought I could get it in if I removed one of the hardlines.... no go. do I need to removed the preinstalled bushings and spacers and install the ones included in the kit?

Yes. The OE bushings and spacers are removed and replaced with poly bushings and sleeves included in the kit. Pretty sure that's shown in the manual. You shouldn't have to take anything apart to fit into the frame.
I fought this yesterday. yes, replace the bushings and use the supplied sleeves. check sleeve length first at I had to grind a bit off of mine to fit in the chassis. once I got to this point I was convinced it would not fit and planned to call FFR. but, in was eventually able to get it in. start with the drivers side with the passenger side angled up a bit. one you can get the drivers side slid in the passenger side goes in pretty easily. once all together,I had to ream out the back side of one of the chassis brackets by running a 1/2in drill bit through the sleeve. I was not convinced it would fit, but it did

Thank you. Everything I had seen only shows the manual rack and not the power steering. Of course I may have missed it. I appreciate it.

JJK,
Did you find the spacers somewhere besides the small parts kit with the p/s system? I have no spacers in my kit and nothing called out on the parts list…

Received my kit a couple weeks ago. They were part of the 16752 COMPL KIT STEER SHAFT PARTS. Two 2.45” spacers number 15514, and two cotter pins number 10937 in the same small bag. They were in Box 01.

Thanks John!! Perfect. I found them in box 1. I guess I will be doing more digging and hopefully asking fewer questions!!
