Question about stainless steel bed floor

First, let me say Happy New Year!!

I have a question about the stainless bed floor. I have the rear cab flange trimmed to 1/2" and with the SS sheet position against that trimmed flange it still over-hangs the rear of the chassis by about 1/8", is this acceptable, or do I need to cut down the sheet by that amount?

I trimmed the cab about the same. You need to leave room for the SS front wall to go under the front of the SS floor. So it can't be tight against the cab. I didn't have to trim the SS bed floor on my truck build and it's flush with the rear of the chassis. FWIW, mine is 58-1/2 inches long.

I should have mentioned that I have the SS front piece in place already, but nothing is fastened down yet.
