Fuel tank straps - do I have to bend these to make them fit

Happy New Year everybody. Just working on the fuel tank install on the cobra. The fuel tank straps will have to be bent around the protruding square metal. Is this normal? Should I have to bend these brackets to make the fit or are they the wrong ones. They are the FFR straps that came with the fuel tank from FFR. See attached photo's. Thank you for any advice. They bend around the tank and cover, not the square tubes.

Hard to tell from the pics but make sure you put the plugs in the 3/4 vertical tubes.

Thank you Jeff and Cobra Dude for chiming in on this. Yes I have figured out a solution, now knowing they do not bend around the square tubing. Once the tank is in, it provided the perfect track and fit for the straps.
